Is the stake real money?

No. PP is virtual and closed-loop. It cannot be bought, sold or withdrawn, which is also why there is no identity check.

What happens on a draw?

Both stakes are returned in full and nothing burns.

What if my rival never answers?

The clock decides it. Once the twenty-four hours are up the duel resolves on the scores that exist.

Staked Duels

Both sides put PP in escrow. Winner takes the pot minus the burn.

A staked duel is the ghost duel with consequences. Both players put the same amount of PP into escrow, both get the same five questions, and both have twenty-four hours. The winner takes their stake back plus a cut of the loser's; the remainder is burned rather than paid out, which is what stops PP inflating every time somebody wins. A tie refunds both sides in full.

How it works

Challenge a rival by username, post to the open lobby, or share a link.
Both sides stake the same PP amount into escrow.
Same five questions, ten seconds each, twenty-four hours to sit down and play. The higher score takes the pot.

The rules that matter

Stakes run from 25 to 10,000 PP, any whole amount in between.
The winner recovers their stake plus a share of the rival's; the rest burns.
Unlocks at level 3, on an account at least a week old.
