This market will resolve YES if the game officially announced as the winner of Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2026 belongs to a newly created intellectual property that had no previously commercially released game in the same franchise or fictional universe before the qualifying 2026 title.

A completely original game establishing a new franchise qualifies.

A sequel, prequel, remake, remaster, reboot, spin-off or other game belonging to an existing video-game franchise does not qualify.
