Will Tokyo’s official cherry-blossom opening fall on March 22 or earlier in 2027?

Question

This market will resolve YES if the Japan Meteorological Agency records Tokyo’s 2027 Somei-Yoshino cherry-blossom opening date as March 22 or an earlier date.

Use the official kaika date for the Tokyo observation station’s designated reference tree, normally at Yasukuni Shrine. Do not substitute full bloom, a forecast by a private weather company, an early-flowering variety, another city or a photograph from a different park. The date is a Japan-local calendar date. March 22 qualifies; March 23
