This market will resolve YES if Reporters Without Borders places the United States at rank 71 or a numerically higher rank in the overall 2027 World Press Freedom Index.

A larger rank number means a worse placement. Rank 70 is NO; rank 71 is YES. Use the overall country ranking, not its political, economic, legislative, social or security sub-index and not the numerical freedom score. A decline in score does not alone qualify.
